Jagriti Foundation is a group of nine volunteers who kept doing this work for years before we gave it a name. We sit with students on career choices, teach adults their letters, clean the places everyone else walks past, and explain rights to the people who have them.

The meaning behind Jagriti

Jagriti means awakening. For us, it starts with something simple: sitting down with someone and helping them see what is possible.
Most problems we meet are not caused by a lack of schemes or services, but by nobody explaining them to the person who needs them. The work started before the foundation did — in 2019 we registered so it could outlast any one of us.
